The Incredibly Human Henson Blayze Inducted into Velshi’s Banned Book Club

Derrick Barnes’ latest book, the highly acclaimed middle grade novel The Incredibly Human Henson Blayze, about a young football star who sees his adoring town turn on him when he chooses to speak up against injustice, was inducted into Ali Velshi’s Banned Book Club. This series places a spotlight on books that have been banned and challenged, in an effort to combat censorship and defend literacy.
