Rin-rin Yu is a magazine journalist, writer, editor, and digital media specialist with a diverse background in multimedia journalism. She has extensive experience in web- and mobile-based publishing, social media and digital product development, as well as several years of print and broadcast reporting, and has won many awards for her work. She is currently the editor-in-chief at Howard University, leading the award-winning Howard Magazine and news/information website, The Dig. She is also principal and co-founder of the Silver Media Group, a strategic marketing and content consultancy. Rin-rin is an alumna of several companies, including WashingtonianHanley Wood Business Media (now Zonda)WHDH-TV 7NewsABC News, the Advertising Research Foundation, and the National Association of Home Builders. She has also served as a close consultant for several others, including the Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (currently as editor of its online magazine, Volta Voices).

Her education includes an M.B.A. from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, an M.S. from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, and a B.A. in environmental science from Washington University in St. Louis. Born and raised in the New York City suburb of Scarsdale, Rin-rin currently lives in Bethesda, Maryland with her husband and two kids.
