Raised in Palmyra, Pennsylvania, Philip Ejike obtained his BA in Design from Lehigh University in 2007, and his MFA in Design and Technology from Parsons the New School for Design in 2009.

He has received a Gold Key in Fiction in the 1999 Harrisburg, PA Patriot-News Scholastic Writing Contest, and a First Place in Fiction in the 2006 Lehigh University Williams Writing Prize.  Among other things, he has written and illustrated children’s books for StoryJumper.com, freelanced for interactive company Electric Funstuff, served as a guest art critic for Parsons MFA narrative studios, written scripts for films and comics, and worked as a tutor and English teacher at New Jersey City University’s Pre-College Program.  At present, in addition to working on several novels, he designs and teaches writing curricula for schools in Hokkaido, Japan.
