Cindy Runger is the author of The Imperial Order of Mystics and a Pacific Northwest Writers Association Award winner. Although Cindy spent decades as a lawyer and business executive, she has been writing ever since she was first able to grip a crayon. When not strategizing about financials as a board director for various institutions, Cindy heads to her happy places—imaginary settings teeming with suspense and magic, or a warm, sunny beach. She has taken creative writing classes through Hugo House and is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.

Cindy earned her JD from Gonzaga University School of Law and BA from Gonzaga University. She lives with her family in the enchanting city of Seattle, Washington.
