As Essence magazine’s Relationships Editor, Charreah provides sex and love insight for over seven million readers. Charreah is a certified family life educator and has been a featured love expert on CNN’s Headline News, VH1, WEtv, YourTango and the Huffington Post. As a dating coach, she helps clients around the country find love – and develop the habits to keep it.

Charreah is a popular speaker and guest lecturer nationwide and has spoken at 2013 International iDate Conference, the 2011 American Society of Journalists and Authors Conference, and the 2009 Women + Power Conference, headlined by Gloria Steinem. She’s been profiled in top outlets and the book “Daring to be Ourselves” by Marianne Schnall, which highlights influential women including Maya Angelou and Cameron Diaz. She is also a former board member for the Journalism and Women’s Symposium (JAWS), the leading organization for women journalists. She has interviewed newsmakers from Spike Lee and Sarah Jessica Parker to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. She earned the New York Association of Black Journalist award in 2009 and was a finalist for the Hearst Award in 2007. 

As an editor for Essence.com, Charreah pitched and penned the popular column, Frisky Friday, offering sex insight to empower women. She has developed a niche in providing support and advice to career-minded women.
