Beth Thomas Cohen was born on September 23rd, 1975 at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. Her parents settled in Reston, Virginia as her father worked at the White House as Assistant Security of Health, Education & Welfare. When she was two years old, her parents relocated to Tenafly, New Jersey where Beth would attend elementary school at The Elisabeth Morrow School followed by Dwight Englewood School, from where she graduated in 1994. Beth attended George Washington University for a year before transferring to The Ohio State University in 1996, graduating in 1999 with a Bachelor’s of Science. She currently resides in Tenafly, NJ with her two daughters Aiden Rae 12 and Lila James 8.

Beth launched her fashion career at the licensing company Pyramid Accessories, which specialized in creating licensed accessories for companies like Mattel and Disney. With her sights set on becoming a bigger player in the fashion world, she moved to CosmoGIRL!, where was Entertainment Assistant, strategizing with celebrities’ publicists on photo shoots, interviews, and branding. When Oprah Winfrey launched her groundbreaking magazine, O magazine, in 2000, Beth wanted to be a part of it. She went on to become Associate Accessories Editor, remaining at O for four years. After holding subsequent back-to-back executive positions in public relations and branding, Beth co-founded her own company B’squared Public Relations with business partner Beth Overzat. There she launched brands, including Cornelia Guest Handbags, Charm & Chain (ww.charmandchain.com), and Adriana Castro, to name a few.

Thomas Cohen wrote Drop The Act, It’s Exhausting!, which hit stands in November 2015, and is currently working on building her large Instagram social media following with wit and candor. Thomas Cohen is also consulting as it relates to public relations with fashion brands and the like.
