Congratulations to author Derrick Barnes and illustrator Gordon C. James for their wins at this year’s ALA Youth Media Awards! Barnes received a Coretta Scott King Author Honor for his middle grade novel The Incredibly Human Henson Blayze, and James received a Robert F. Sibert Honor for illustrating the bestselling picture book Go Tell It: How James Baldwin Became a Writer.
