Lynn is a storyteller shaped by place, memory, and the belief that narratives can open doors. For nearly twenty years, she has worked at the intersection of journalism, travel media, and cultural history, unearthing the stories that reveal who we are and how we move through the world.
She is the former Senior Staff Journalist for travel at BBC, and has held editorial roles at Lonely Planet, The Points Guy, and Stranger’s Guide. Her work has also supported brands and institutions such as Travel + Leisure, Dell, Afar, and Stony Brook University, where she helps teams create content that is inclusive, accurate, and grounded in lived experience.
As an educator, Lynn has taught writing and journalism at The New School, CUNY’s Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism, Juilliard, and Duke University’s OLLI program—guiding emerging storytellers toward clarity, curiosity, and ethical craft.
She has spoken and led workshops on inclusive storytelling at the UN Tourism Forum on Gastrotourism in Africa, the Ford Foundation, NYU, and the National Association of Black Journalists, championing narratives that honor community, context, and cultural truth.
At the heart of her work is a simple conviction: Stories shape understanding, and when told with care, they expand what—and who—we see.
